Endymion gets world premiere by Copenhagen Phil!

In two concerts, the Copenhagen Phil – together with renowned accordion player Andreas Borregaard – are presenting my concero for accordion and orchestra. Endymion, with the subtitle ”the sad but instructive tale of a moonstruck young man”, has been written in a collaborative process with the soloist Andreas Borregaard  and translator/playwrite Magnus Lindman (who also wrote the libretto for Näsflöjten, my most recent opera project). The concerto is playful verging on the humouristic, sad, dramatic and contains several breaches with the ”heroic” concerto tradition. November 2 in copenhagen – see http://www.copenhagenphil.dk/koncerter/2012/11/2/forfoereren-elskerinden-og-en-ung-mand-med-akkordeon.

Coming up next: world premiere of double concerto for Flute, Contraforte and ensemble. November 22, Arnold Schönberg Center, Vienna. Info: http://www.ensemblereconsil.com/#!what_we_do/cihc
